I’m Head of Media at the City of Amsterdam (Gemeente Amsterdam). In this position I am responsible for the editorial content of the various (news) media of the municipality, including the website, newsletters, newspaper, social media, and paid content TV programs. By creating attractive content, we aim to reach Amsterdammers and inform them about their city’s policies, as well as enable and inspire them to participate in social initiatives.

In the first half of 2016, I was working on the Netherlands’ EU Presidency. During this presidency, Amsterdam was the host city of an extensive cultural program. It was my task to coordinate this program and events related to it. In addition to this, I was responsible for the city marketing to EU visitors and the city dressing that was visible during the EU chairmanship.

Previously, I worked at Amsterdam & Partners as a Project Manager for International Press and for the Prince Claus Fund as a Press Officer. From 2011 till 2014 I was a member of the Amsterdam Arts Council (Amsterdamse Kunstraad).

Next to my job at the City of Amsterdam, I advise cultural organizations, and I am a member of the supervisory board of Rijksmuseum Muiderslot and Cultuur Eindhoven and a board member of Seenik and Pynarello.

In my spare time, I like to visit museums, exhibitions, dance and theatre performances and I’m a regular visitor of Berlin, a city I consider my second hometown.
